Changes

Well, this really has nothing to do with Photography. Just about my family. Today was J.J.'s last day of high school! Also, he has had long hair for several years, now, and yesterday he cut it! Wow! What a change! I'm adjusting.

Photo backdrop and a steamer...

Well, I finally opened the backdrop for Saturday's shoot and it was super wrinkled. So I pulled out this hand-held steamer that my mom gave me a while back. I read the directions. I followed the directions. It heated up and the spewed steam and white specks of "stuff" on my backdrop!!! Luckily it was just at the very top and I was able to wash the specks off my hand. I won't use that steamer again - ever.

Green grass..uh...I mean turf!

Well, I found some grass for the photo shoot. It's not really grass, not really even
turf. It's a type of carpet that is green. They use it in Locker rooms! Anyway, it looks pretty good for my purposes. So, I just have to steam out the backdrop and hang it, take some more equipment to the church and we're ready to go!

Prep for a Mother-daughter photo shoot

So...we have this cute little park bench, some plants and even a light post, but where does one buy fake grass??? Any ideas out there??

Something New...

Well I figured it was about time I try blogging...so here goes.
Starting a new Photography business is much more time-consuming
than I ever realized! BUT...It's so much FUN I can't wait until I
am able to do this full-time!!! As for now, I have wedding photos
to order and a Mother-Daughter Banquet to prepare for. I'm
looking forward to shooting lots of family photos at the banquet!
